Known for its sandy beaches and good nightlife, Bournemouth is a popular seaside resort on the Dorset coast between Poole and Christchurch.
The town is centred on the Bourne River, running downhill towards the sea by Bournemouth Pier. This pier looks back towards a promenade lined with beach huts at the foot of grassy cliffs. The promenade continues west to Poole, while a road goes east to neighbouring Boscombe, where anglers often fish from its pier. Overlooking it is a clifftop road housing some Bournemouth hotels with sea views.
Booking.com also offers hotels near the BIC – Bournemouth International Centre in the West Cliff area. This convention centre and music venue is a short walk from the Art Deco Pavilion Theatre, located next to the Lower Gardens. In this popular city park is the Bournemouth Eye, a tethered hot air balloon that offers far-reaching views.
At the park’s top end the river disappears under a large square, then emerges in the Central Gardens. Overlooking these gardens is the Victorian town hall, which used to be one of several spa hotels in Bournemouth. Opposite is a Grade I-listed church, and St Peter’s Church has the grave of Mary Shelley, author of ‘Frankenstein’.
On the outskirts of town, near 4 golf courses and the Castlepoint Shopping Centre, is Bournemouth Airport.

Me and my fiance went with friends for our sten Do (stag&hen). It was pleasant weather, relatively affordable, good food & entertaining mini golf. We also went to the mini market Sunday morning which we all enjoyed. Would definitely recommend as it was not too busy.

Bournemouth is a very nice town with beautiful sandy beaches. There is plenty of choices for lunch and dinner.
It is a bit out-of-date and looks like its glory days are gone though, as there were many closed shops at the city centre and the feeling was it looked a bit sad and abandoned.

Bournemouth is a a great place for me loads of good long walks very scenic only problem there's a lot of beggars and homeless but they are everywhere but they didn't really bother me they all have there own problems it's a beautiful city with a fabulous garden's running right through the city centre I loved it , looking forward to going to Bournemouth again 👍🇬🇧 .
Everything at The Pavilion Arms was a lovely experience. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and the menu had a lot of great options. The room was stylishly decorated, clean and comfortable with complimentary coffee + milk and drinks which was great. The walk down to the main part of town/beach was around 25 minutes and easy to navigate which made for a great location of the pub. I'd highly recommend The Pavilion Arms when staying in Bournemouth.
The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The location was perfect. It was a small walk to the pier and the beautiful beach. Restaurants were also a walk, but we used taxis. The pool was AMAZING! It was heated and clean. It was open until 8pm. We had lunch on the pool veranda and it was a bit pricey but very nice. The Bournemouth air show was on so we watched that from our sunbeds! The hotel had a nice warm friendly feeling. We really enjoyed our stay!
Booked for joint birthday celebration and theatre visit so we wanted something near the centre of Bournemouth plus parking, which is very expensive in the town car parks. The room was very warm and comfy, the staff were great and the breakfast was extremely good and plentiful. Easy stroll into town & all that it offers. This hotel was a great little find & I'd definitely book again.
Great location in town centre, you’ll be just steps away from the square, beach, restaurants, cinema. I think the hotel is best suited for guests coming to Bournemouth to party. There is a nice cocktail bar and night club in the premises and it can get pretty loud (of which I was warned about beforehand). Personally I wasn’t too bothered by the noise.
Hotel was clean, well maintained and the staff very helpful. The Games Room was a big bonus - my daughter's spent HOURS on the table tennis table!
The Buffet Breakfast, both cold and hot, was EXCELLENT and plenty of it. It is only a short walk from the Promenade into Bournemouth and the beach!
Hotel and staff were delightful🤗.
Delicious afternoon tea with the best selection of vegetarian sandwiches I've ever had 😋.
Room was excellent 😍.
Spa treatments were relaxing and you got the full 60mins 😁 not at all rushed, and the relaxation room was pure indulgence 😌
good location, they have a nice lounge with entertainment, its proper value for money, especially when you only need the room to sleep in. its the first time ive seen a clean kettle in a hotel. the bathroom floor could be improved but its overall a great stay
Location was good, close to the seafront and only a small walk to the main Bournemouth centre and pier.
Initial thoughts were the hotels decor had been modernised but closest inspection. Cobwebs in corners, paintwork required touch ups, stained carpets.
Hotel is located in a very great location close to the beach. The price was very good and included breakfast that had lot of varieties of food to choose from.
Nearby competitors were charging more than this hotel.
You're doing great. Keep it up.
The value for money was fantastic and it was a 5 min walk from the seafront. My main reason was to go to a gig at the Bournemouth international centre. I will definitely use this hotel again as it Ofers excellent value for money.
Tidy hotel, big comfy beds. Location is quite useful if you have a car you can drive to the nicer beaches east of Bournemouth. Incase of injury the hospital is opposite :) Very cheap, even with all the hidden costs
The hotel is very welcoming with its own character. Our room was spacious and warm. The staff were friendly and approachable. Parking is good and it’s a beautiful walk to reach Bournemouth or the beaches.
Balcony rooms on top floor have an amazing view, and we had the best seats in the house for the Friday night fireworks. Stunning! There are a few electric vehicle charging spots in the hotel’s parking.
I really like the hotel, amazing staff, not far from the beach and city centre. If will have chance to come to Bournemouth again will be happy to stay in this hotel again- highly recommended 💙💛
Lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and the hotel is in a great location. Near town and walkable to the beach front. Free parking was also a bonus as it is expensive to park in Bournemouth.
This is our fourth stay. We don't stay anywhere else in Bournemouth. The Indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi are lovely after a day at the beach. Great location. Comfortable clean hotel.
The location is great - 10 minute stroll down to the beach and ideal that we could park at the hotel. The staff were really friendly. Our family room had everything we needed.
The hotel was in a great area, walking distance to the beach and city centre. The room was spacious and clean and the best was huge and insanely comfortable
The building is high standard on the outside, the inside outdated. Near the beach in a good area of Bournemouth, near the station. Nice for short period.
